Mon 2-5 Drama Club Company

Sharpen your skills and shine as a performer. It’s more than a class, it’s a company! Drama Club Company is a dynamic, ensemble-driven training ground for upper elementary students ready to take their performance skills to the next level. With a deeper focus on vocal technique, movement, and storytelling, students refine their craft while working collaboratively toward a musical performance. All BBK Classes begin with a mindful check in to build community and trust. Teaching Artists then guide students to create Ensemble Agreements, which frame how
the group develops parameters. Performers will always do a full body/vocal warm-up, including skill building, and music, dance and theater literacy. Community building themed games will be played every week, changing frequently and aligned with the learning outcomes of the week. In the Fall, they’ll present a Broadway Musical Revue featuring selections across styles and era’s from Singing In the Rain to & Juliet. At the end of the semester, there will be an invited open class where we share our musical revue and lay the foundation for the Spring semester. In the spring, the ensemble will be cast in and stage a musical with direction and choreography from BBK’s professional teaching artists. This company will create an inclusive, supportive, and
empowering community on and off the stage.
