Description

Calling all 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders! Join us for the annual PS 183’s Spring Musical, a tradition for the school community and a memorable experience for 5th graders as they complete their time at PS 183. The Spring Musical combines singing, acting and musical theater dance into an hour-long production enjoyed by the whole school community. The past few years, we did Seussical Jr., Honk Jr., and Wizard of Oz. This year, it will be Annie Jr.!

Annie Jr. is about a tough streetwise kid named Annie who lives in an orphanage run by the unpleasant Miss Hannigan. Annie and her friends at the orphanage wish for a better life outside the orphanage and away from Miss Hannigan. Her luck changes when she is taken in by billionaire “Daddy Warbucks.” Together with Warbucks’ secretary, Grace Farrell, and a loveable dog named Sandy, they seek to find Annie’s birth parents who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of the orphanage. Annie Jr. is story of hope, optimism, and friendship that explores the meaning of family.

Rehearsals are on Mondays and Thursdays.
